The Philosophy Research Initiative at Western Sydney University is organizing the annual conference of the Australasian Society for Continental Philosophy (ASCP). The conference will take place in Sydney, at our Parramatta CBD campus on 21-23 November 2018. For more details, see www.westernsydney.edu.au/westernascp
As part of the ASCP conference, Dimitris Vardoulakis is organizing a special stream of panels on biopolitics. This can be on any aspect of biopolitics, from neoliberalism to the society of control, from biopolitics in literature to biopolitics and the sciences, from the history of biopolitics to contemporary biopolitics practices, and from the conception of biopolitics in particular thinkers (e.g. Foucault or Deleuze) to biopolitics in particular philosophy schools.
It would be excellent to have members of the SSBF participating in these panels. Please get in touch with Dimitris (firstname.lastname@example.org) by May 31 if you are interested to participate. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is June 15.
